Surf Lessons
At Funny Wave, We work with local instructors who provide a unique surfing experience. Our instructors grew up in the area, giving them extensive knowledge of the beaches where surf lessons take place. Furthermore, we work with small groups in the water, meaning each instructor will be assigned two students for the entire week to focus on your safety and the development of your surfing skills
Accomodation
At Funny Wave, we offer charming self-contained rooms surrounded by a lush garden. These rooms can comfortably accommodate 2, 3, or even 4 guests, each equipped with private bathrooms and air conditioning to ensure your complete comfort throughout your stay. Furthermore, we provide Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling you to stay connected with work, family, and friends during your visit.
Additionally, we’ve created a communal area where our guests can come together to enjoy board games, share stories, or enjoy the drinks!
Feeding
As proud Costa Ricans, we consider food prepared with love essential. You will have the opportunity to try dishes and drinks that contribute to the good health of our population. In fact, our Nicoya Peninsula is considered a Blue Zone, characteristic of places where people over 90 years of age usually live. Cabuya is a fishing town, so the seafood that you will enjoy here is of the highest quality and freshness. In addition, our kitchen has other organic products, as our grandparents used to say, from our fertile lands to our table.
Transportation
Transportation to all surf lessons and even to scheduled adventures or tours is included, to provide greater convenience to our clients.
If you are flying from San Jose to Cobano, don’t hesitate to write to us to coordinate your pickup at the local Cobano airport.
The surf and adventure spots will be determined day by day, as they depend on the weather conditions.
Adventure
We have a section for adventurous and energetic people. During these adventures, we will carry out in various activities throughout the camp days, including hikes to explore waterfalls, rivers, beaches, and mountains.
In this section, we want to help you forget about stress and return with good energy because we will be surrounded by nature most of the time
