¿what is Funny Wave Surf Camp?
It is a surf camp in Costa Rica, located in the town of Cabuya, Nicoya Peninsula. In this camp you will learn to surf with locals, without pressure. Our goal is for you to enjoy the process. Additionally, during the time we are not surfing, we have planned activities so that you can get to know our beautiful Peninsula more.
We have different vacation packages, we recommend the all-inclusive package with transportation to and from the local Cóbano airport, surf lessons, lodging, meals and fun activities.
How to start a nice project
For many years during our high school days, we proudly shared the beauty of our stunning peninsula with tourists, offering them unique experiences such as exploring rivers, waterfalls, viewpoints, islands, and horseback riding tours, as well as surfing lessons and snorkeling adventures.
Today, with a fresh perspective shaped by our experiences and a deep pride in our homeland, we have come together as tourism professionals and locals. Our mission is to provide a truly authentic Costa Rican service that showcases the rich culture and breathtaking landscapes of our beloved area.

How we work?
Surf Lessons: In our surf lessons, each instructor will be assigned to two individuals, ensuring personalized attention and oversight of your learning progress throughout the week.
For children aged 3 to 13, we prioritize safety and a positive learning experience by assigning each child their own dedicated instructor. This ensures that every child receives focused guidance and support throughout the entire week.
On the adventure: During your adventure, you’ll be accompanied by several of our local instructors, who are committed to making your experience safe and enjoyable at all times.
