Being located on the Nicoya Peninsula, where we have waves all year round, we have the ease of selecting the right beach for the day of surfing since Cabuya and Santa Teresa are on opposite sides of the peninsula, the weather conditions will always favor one of the two, giving us incredible days for surfing and adventures.

Surf Lessons
At Funny Wave, we have trained local instructors who provide a unique surfing experience for adults, teenagers, and children. Our instructors grew up in the area, giving them extensive knowledge of the beaches where surf lessons take place. At Funny Wave, we operate with a 1 instructor to 2 student, and for children, we assign 1 surf instructor per child. This approach ensures safe and steady progress in their surfing skills
